Three young Kingfishers have fledged this week while I was away on holiday. Thankfully they haven't yet been chased out of the territory by the parents and I managed to catch up with a couple of them this weekend. Given they were in deep shade against the bright water I'm pretty pleased how these have turned out.

Beautiful birds, well captured Dave.  The third one is a great pose.

Congratulations to you Dave for these really nice captures of the young ones.  Maybe you all will have a few more to work on next year with more photo opps unless they are too territorial to share.

Thanks for the comments everyone, appreciated. The youngsters will get driven out soon and will have to find a stretch of their own, hopefully one with a good supply of fish.

K to you Dave, I was hoping to go up there today, but the weather put me off; so glad you managed to see these and capture them before they move on.

Great work

I managed an hour out, but Janet called at B&Q to get some grout, luckily the guy confused her and she came home empty handed  Grin

Enjoy the brushwork, and maybe sneak out tomorrow?

To be honest Andy I haven't even got as far as painting it yet, all I've done all day is fill holes, rub down, pva new plaster, move the flippin' freezer from a to b and back again etc etc....I was going to start with the paint tonight but it's too late now so tomorrow with the camera looks unlikely. Oh and the bathroom is waiting  Cry  Cry
