I think I just lost a whole week of my life!  I skipped last weeks Project 52.  I woke up, and the whole week had passed!

So, the theme for this week is UP!

I've got a fun picture I took specifically for this theme, I'll go dig it out of my editing pile and post it!

K for the first entry, and a K for the winner!

Oh, and a K for EACH entry . . . let's set a record this week and have a lot of entries for me to choose from!

Great capture Pixelguru!  I don't know that I've ever seen a balloon image with a fisheye, but I love the effect.  Very cool!  My only nit, is I don't see any people in the image lol!  I am SURE there are people in the balloons though, right?!

You get a K for your entry, great job!

Oops, sorry Two Color.  I totally missed that this was in the People/Portraits area.  I'm red-faced.  I'll try another later.

No need to be red-faced.  There are many times I've looked at some of my pics and thought "I'll post this one, it fits the theme . . . oh, dang, there aren't any people in it"  lol!  Please keep posting, it's a fun place to post!

Thanks for the second chance Two Color.  Here's an "Up" pic with an actual person in it.  (Please remove my previous effort and associated comments.)

I'm joining the UP club. This evening I've had a very nice studio session at school, task at hand a selfportrait (more to come) and this one I think fits the theme.
Don't judge me on the outfit please!! LOL

I got myself assisted by a fellow student, which for this kind of job is absolutely necessary; lights setup, metering framing & focusing was done by me though.

That is Great!!!  I love it!  I'd love to hear a little about your set up here, Tony!

K for you!

It was quite one I tell ya! Key Light: Left from cam big soft box (45 deg +/-) high and pointing down as well 45 deg; quite frontal I'd say.
right from cam at 90 deg, smaller soft box also lower in height & a tad lower in power. huge silver reflector behind me to my left in line with Key light to fill in the shadow area. High above and  behind me a small soft box pointing vertical down and on my back, placed on a boom (giraffe). framing to have all a gray frame, standing where compo would be acceptable no matter what, pre-focusing and changing to manual (on tripod), little piece of tape on the ground to be able to come and go back and forth, and lots of tests to tweak light power. that's all I think. Smiley
thanks for the comments all !!!

This one was hard to select a winner . . . I think I'm going to have to give the winning K to Ph!  I love that it's a self portrait and it fits the theme great too!  Way to go Ph!!
