  Congrats to all of our Monthly Winners in 09"  what a Great selection of work!!  I think its quite an honor to be Nominated/ Considered by our Members for a Job well done each Month.... That  honor is only Toppled, by actually Winning  a particular Month, again through Members Choice...  and now we have the ultimate...  PHOTO OF THE YEAR...!!

Thank you all so much for the honor!  All of the images were great in my opinion.  I know I sure had a tough time deciding which to vote for (and no, I didn't vote for my own  Wink).  I am having a great time here on NEMs with all the wonderful photographers here.  I consider this a very special award, and I sincerely thank you for the recognition.  

For a bit of follow up to this image, It was captured at J.N. "Ding" Darling national Wildlife Refuge.  The White Morph Reddish Egrets are pretty rare birds, and so this particular one out at Ding Darling has now been named "Bob" by all the other photographers who frequent this amazing location.  He only shows up every now and then, and usually stays pretty far away.  However, this one special morning he gave me this image.  It has been a great one for me.
