My 15 year old is industrious.

Much more so than I was at his age.

He works 1.5 days/week doing remodeling with some close friends.  We homeschool, so that makes his schedule flexible enough to facilitate such endeavors.

He worked 3 days/week last summer and plans to do the same this year.

He's also very much a homebody.  He loves the outdoors.  He traipses through the woods, catches crawdads and dace and minnows from the creek, fishes, and practices with his cast net at the pond frequently.

Today, he discovered a rekindled flame for a project that will become a hangout for his siblings and him.  Two stalls of our stable was converted into a sewing room by the previous owner.  They did a poor job.  The floors are rotting and the crappy Ondura roof is beyond repair.  We will be placing metal roofing on it in the next few weeks.  He has taken it upon himself to rip out the floors, the walls, and any ceilings that require repair/replacement.

So when I caught him relaxing while I'm out by the pond photographing, he quickly became the subject.

There was a willow in my yard as a kid, but nothing so cool as this one!

LOL, what a great place to have a break (as long as that tree isn't rotten as well he he). Well caught Raymond!

It's OK to edit my photos in the right context. Copy right is still mine though.

I'm just waiting for the tree to collapse. Nice shot, but could do with lightening a little.

Great timing Raymond.  Its shot you can treasure.  On a tech note... I find the image quite flat.  Possibly taken on a dark, cloudy day?  I realize shots like this don't happen everyday...but maybe if you work on your levels or brightness/contrast in Pshop..if you use it... or some other software you can boost the brightness and contrast a bit to see if this helps.

Raymond - I'm not even gonna mention technicals.........this picture speaks volumes,,,,,,,,it's a real winner.  It made me laugh........that willow just seems to be flexing itself at just the right curve to make a comfortable backrest and your sons foot positioning shows he is enjoying the break.........absolutely priceless!

I'm over the hill in a place far off, where the woodchuck died of the whooping cough.

Thanks for the comments, folks.

Kate, it was an overcast day, but flickr really screws with pics.  Also, I process with a black background and the forum default (and probably only choice) is white, so there's some difference there.  Still, technically, there are some flaws.  It was an off-the-cuff shot and he moved within seconds of snapping this.

The tree is very young and sturdy, so there's no danger of it collapsing.  That would make for a funny picture!
