Tom that is sooooo funny,,,,,,,,first of about the lecture,,,,,,,,,I got it from you!.....as you well know,,,,work a scene.
With regards to Ian, well I think he was trying to tell you something about his thoughts and a tripod........I just knew I'd get burnt on this one,,,,,lol
SAFETY - Absolutely, top of the list,,,,,,,,when Ian started to bungee jump off the parapets, I thought,,,,,,,,,,Oh fill in the blanks yourselves..............(taxi for Jackel, that's twice today!)
Anyway, the point is,,,,hope you all have a laugh and that we can all learn from each other,,,,,in a fun way,,,,,just say when you all had enough,,,,,,,,,,800+ pics,,,,,,this may take some time! Joking!
Oh and the tripod thing.....you work it out,,,,,,,,check out pic #1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I have one,,,,lol

I'm as glad to see my lectures, ( Soap Boxing ) stood out, as Doc would be to see his Tilt Reminders Haunting People lol....
But how do you lecture the ole Sky Master.... he's just stuck in his ways, and those way seem to work.. just a tuff OLD Bird... As I look at that shot again of his finger ( Solo ) perhaps I read it wrong, maybe he is saying he will be using a Mono Pod??
LOL on your reply to the first shot..... at least you took it with you, which is more than I bet IAN did... but then again, I would think a few HDRs are in his Bag... Hey, Jackel, you only miscalculated by the length of a toe.... not bad at all...
You guys keep this up, its a great thread , and sure everyone will enjoy both your Views!!

Tom - Ian does have a tripod, and he did take it with him, I seen it,,,,,,,, so your lessons have been well received..........He has a big one!
Ed - I gotta tell you, I spend a lot of time on my back, looking at the sky, thinking, what happened there? It's OK, normal behaviour,,, lol

Nice going Jackel and Ian
Most importantly is how you both got along and enjoyed each other company and comparing and having diffrent thought and view through the viewfinder.
Which is a great idea.
Well you both put up splendid photo and sharing it with your members which is wonderful well done overall on all.
Cheers

Here is another from the day. Sorry this shot is rather busy and a bit of distortion due to the wide angle,,,but there is just so much to cram in at this location and I couldn't pass this lead in line, just had to take it....lol......I promise a couple of tighter shots soon......here you go then.....

Beautiful Shots Guys, Keep em coming, reading through this thread, I'm starting to feel like I was there with you...
Jackel , I like the tight shot... as Ian says the color.... the detail is good, and the total different POV, just Shows YOUR WORKING IT!
Ian... The shot of the Abbey Is Cool... I find it interesting in the first one , I see a White Bench, .... so I figure they must be placed around the area that was once the inside??? but yet, in the other shot, I don't see any?? Is that odd, 1 Bench, did you clone any ??

Thanks Tom,,,,,,,we had a lot to work with, some super locations in this neck of the woods.......... As long as you folks are not getting bored,,,,,,,,,,,I'm just getting warmed up,,,,,,lol who said architecture was boring? Here is another angle,,,,,,,I think you can make out the morning mist and try to imagine,,,,,,,,,this is showing less than a third of this particular location..............what do you think this place would have looked like 800 years ago?....magnificent.......... It's a little eerie now though , huh?

This is one of those step right into the frame shots, great Comp Jackel.... How did or do you guys manage to get these ruins to yourself?? Nobody around?? I bet it is magnificent... would love to take it all in... I wonder with some digging if there is something out there in Cyber Space that would show how it appeared in the Days?? A Drawing, painting, an Imagination, or something.. This site shows some images from there , but in PARTICULAR an aerial View, which might show what you are saying, "" ,this is showing less than a third of this particular location...""" http://www.flickr.com/photos/striderv/3347080081/
